To build a lasting foundation for Philippine economic prosperity and security, we’ll organize around the core issues facing Philippino's and their families — employment, health care, and education. By acting as Philippino's, united together, we can overcome the issues that for years have prevented real change on the critical issues that Philippine citizens face every single day. Today is the time to leave behind the old way, business as usual, and build support for real solutions to ensure that Senator Pangilinan as Vice President succeeds in fulfilling the promise of change. Let's discuss more about the challenges you and I face and the solutions that will get us back on the road as a united Philippines. Team Kiko is ready and organized to make that change needed for the Philippines. We work united for change.
Foreign Policy: Healthcare: Senator Pangilinan is very proud of the strength of the nation to produce the highest quality healthcare professionals. However, he has become concerned with the quality of healthcare services to the people of the Philippines. The Senator feels that a healthy people creates a stronger country. Preventive healthcare, teaching individuals how to maintain their health is a high priority of the Senator. As a nation of healthcare workers it is time that the people of the Philippines have solid healthcare options through private and government programs. Education: Senator Pangilinan puts children first. The contry needs to continue to invest in early childhood education. It is also very important to look at all areas of education from kindergarten through university. The Senator feels that education is very vital for a country to grow, to obtain new and brighter ways to educate. In the university system the passing rates of various licensed professionals have gone down in passing rates. The quality of education of professional schools need to be reviewed and enhanced. Other nations look to the Philippines for professionals to work abroad in responsible positions, we as a country need to produce the highest quality of professionals. Education is the priority of the Philippines. Law and the Constitution: The Senator has taken a strong position on the protection of the Philippine constitution. Kiko has taken a lead on the "NO" position to Con-Ass that the current administration is trying push through on the people of the Philippines. Senator Pangilinan encourages the nation to contact their Senators and leaders of the Government to vote "NO" on any Con-Ass legistlation. The protection of the constitution and upholding the constitution of the Philippines is vital for the Government and the people to be guided by in protecting every citizen and in the creation of new laws that enhance the quality of governing the Philippines. Without a strong constitution we are unable to provide for the security of the nation from internal foes that continue to fight against their own people. A strong contitution provides citizens the ability to solve issues in courts of law, to provide soverancy to a nation, to strengthen the movement of laws through the Congress and Senate and to be signed into law. It provides the Supreme Court with the legal standards that guide their decisions in accordance with the Consititution of the Philipppines. The Senator will continue to fight for the consitution and the laws governed by the consitutuion. Kiko Pangilinan has been a leader on government transparency – taking a lead on government ethics reform in the Senate. Law makers, government heads, government employees and the head of state must take an ethical stand to do what is right for the people and not for personal gain. It is time for the people of this nation to be able to trust in their leaders to do what is right for their country. Ethics reform will continue for Kiko's to continue his lead. Ethics of all people in the Philippines is what will make the country the stronger nation in the Asian community of nations.
