Kiko Pangilinan Calls for ContinuedVigilance Against Con-Ass
Independent Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan appeals to the public to stay vigilant and continue voicing their indigination over the current administration's push for Charter Change even as the Supreme Court junks a petition against HR 1109.
"I expected as much," says Pengilinan of the SC's ruling on Oliver Lozano and Evangeline Lozano's petition to nulify HR 1109. "It was premature. A constituent assembly has not yet convened. The key here though is to continue to be vigilent and to not allow a Senate-less Con-Ass."
Pangilinan encourages the public to continue their support of the RV Drivers "Di Ako Papayag" campaign by posting their own verson on the internet. "We shouldn't let the current administration think that the people will simply watch and stand idly by and that they can get away with the recless attempt," says Pangilinan. "We must remember how HR 1109 caught us all by surprise. Let's not allow that to happen again."

The Fil-Am Connection, Philippine Progress Without Borders Thousands of miles that separate a Global Filipino's identity from his or her home country does not overcome the power of a common purpose. A purpose that builds a nation based on good governance, transparency, creativity and competence. Proven time and time again, from EDSA I to EDSA II, the fate of a tion - placed in an international arena and social crossroads - is in the hands of the people and the leadership they trust. From Luzon to L.A., Mindanao to Maryland, Philippine progress lies in legisilation and involvement, a collective voice, which represents Filipinos from every corner of the world. As Global Filipinos, our hears are in two places. A longing for one's childhood spaces, family and that ever-thriving Philippine culture is constant, yet satisfied with news bytes or TV shows born from Manila, Cebu or Davao. Technology has brought us closer, a great opportunity to exchange ideas and shape malieable present, from a common purpose to action. Action that exceeds expectations and transends the limits on borders. A Movement For Progress, GET INVOLVED.
